We are located out in Manthal, which is a bit of a trek from the main part of Basavkalyan in the Bidar district. Being set up at this address, which is basically the home area of Gurunath S. Parma’s family, gives our work a very different feel than a big city office. The roads around here can be a bit dusty, especially when the wind picks up in the afternoon. We spend a lot of time just managing things from this small corner of Karnataka. It’s quiet for the most part, except for the occasional tractor or motorbike passing by on the way to the post office. We don’t have a flashy lobby or a front desk with a receptionist. It is just a handful of us working through whatever comes our way. Sometimes we have to head into the main town for supplies or to get things sorted at the district level, which takes a fair amount of time. The weather gets pretty intense here, so we usually start early to get the bulk of the day's tasks finished before the heat really sets in. It’s a simple setup, honestly. We know most of the people who live nearby, and they know us. There isn't much to it other than showing up and getting the work done. We drink a lot of tea while we look over our schedules and talk about what needs doing next. It works for us and keep us out of the city mess.
