If you find yourself in the Bidar district, specifically in Tq Bhalki, you might come across our place. Fernandes Electricals&Cio is situated at Prashant V Mashettey, c/o R Gound. It is not a big industrial site or anything like that. It’s more of a local shop and office combined into one. We have been working out of this spot for quite some time now. The morning starts with clearing off the workbench and checking what parts we need for the day. Being in a rural part of Karnataka means we have to be resourceful. If we run out of something, it’s not always easy to get a replacement quickly. The office itself is pretty cramped because we have so many boxes of parts and tools everywhere. We don’t have air conditioning, so we just leave the doors open and hope for a breeze. There’s a lot of noise from the street sometimes, but we’re used to it. Our group is small, and we mostly just get on with things without making a fuss. We don't have fancy titles or big meetings. We just talk about what needs to be fixed over a cup of tea. It’s an honest way to spend the day. People around here know us and we know them. It feels like home even when the work is difficult. It’s just a regular local business doing what it can in a small town.
