We are located near the bus stand in Basavakalyan, right by the Laltalab area. Our office is associated with Shantabai Zaranath Rathod. Being near the bus stand means it’s always busy outside with people coming and going from all over the region. It’s a noisy spot, but we like being where the action is. The federation doesn't have a fancy building or anything like that. We just have a few rooms where we meet up and talk about what’s going on with the community. Most of our work involves sitting down with people and listening to their stories. There are always people dropping in because they saw the sign or heard we were here. We don't have a formal reception desk, so people just walk in and find a chair. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to sit by the window to see what we are writing. It’s just part of life in Basavakalyan. We spend a lot of time on the phone or writing letters. It isn't a high-pressure environment, just a steady stream of things to do. We try to keep the place tidy, but with so many people coming through, there’s usually a bit of a mess by the end of the day. We are just local people working for our own, right here near the bus stand where everyone can find us without much trouble.
