Subham Chemist

Subham Chemist is located at Shop No. 6 in the Punam Arcade, right on Hospital Road. Since we are on Hospital Road, the atmosphere is a bit different than a neighborhood pharmacy. We see a lot of people who are in a hurry or are feeling stressed because they have family members in the nearby hospitals. It makes the work feel a bit more urgent. Shop No. 6 isn’t huge, but we pack a lot into it. Punam Arcade is a well-known building, so people find us easily enough. Most of my day is spent searching the shelves for specific medicines that doctors have written down on slips of paper. It’s a lot of reading handwriting and double-checking labels to make sure everything is right. I don’t have much time for small talk most days because there is usually someone else waiting in line. The shelves are usually packed tight, and I have to reorganize them at least once a week just to keep things from falling over. Being near the hospitals means we have to stay open late sometimes or make sure we have items that smaller shops might not carry. It’s hard work and the hours are long, but it’s what we do. I just try to keep the stock ready and the counter clear so I can help the next person who walks in from the street.
