This is a bit of a mix since we have ties to Madgaon in Goa but we’re currently rooted out here in Post-Vayor. Arvind T Shende is the main point of contact here at the Gujarat Anjan Cement site. Being in Abdasa, near Bhuj, feels a long way from the coast, but there is plenty of work to keep us busy in this part of Gujarat. We handle industrial stuff, mostly related to the cement works around here. It’s a rugged environment with a lot of dust and sun. We don't have a fancy front office. Most of our time is spent out where the actual work happens. It’s a lot of coordinating and making sure the machinery and the materials are where they need to be. We’ve been at this for a while and have seen the landscape change quite a bit. It’s not always easy, especially when the weather is harsh, but we’ve got a good crew that knows what they are doing. We don’t bother with big presentations or corporate talk. We just focus on the daily tasks and making sure the industrial side of things runs as smooth as it can. People know where to find us if they need to talk about the operations here. It’s practical, everyday work that needs a steady hand and some patience to get through it all and stay on schedule.
