Working out here in Mundra is a bit different from being in a big city office. We are right in the thick of things near the port area in Kutch. The air is often salty and there’s always dust from the trucks moving back and forth. Our office at Rukmani Infra Projects is where all the coordination happens for the local work we’re doing. It’s a practical setup, mostly because we spend so much time outdoors at the sites. Inside, it’s fairly basic with just enough chairs for the staff and a couple of visitors. We don’t go in for anything flashy. Most days involve a lot of checking schedules and talking to drivers. The sun gets really hot in Gujarat, so we tend to start early in the morning to beat the heat. We keep a lot of our equipment records in big ledgers because it's easier than relying on the computer all the time. There is always someone coming in with a delivery note or a query about a project. We have a small area for making coffee, which gets used a lot. It’s the kind of place where boots are often muddy and there’s always a blueprint rolled up somewhere. We just focus on the projects and making sure things are built properly. It’s a lot of manual coordination and long hours, but that’s just how it is. We try to keep things organized despite the dust.
