Radiologist - Dr. Ashok M. Hadiya

Radiologist - Dr. Ashok M. Hadiya is my name and I run this radiology clinic here in Kutch. I deal with all the different imaging stuff like X-rays and scans. It is a practical, no-nonsense business. People come to see me when they have an injury from a fall or if their regular doctor wants to check something inside their chest or stomach. I have been based in Kutch for many years. It is a wide-open region, and I often see people who have come in from the smaller villages nearby. My clinic has the right equipment to get a good look at what is going on. It is not a very big place. We have a small waiting room and then the rooms where the actual machines are kept. I spend my whole day looking at films and digital images on my computer screen. You have to be very careful and pay attention to the tiny details. That is the main part of my job. Sometimes the machines have problems and we have to wait for a technician to come from far away and fix them, which is always a bit of a headache. But most of the time, things run pretty smoothly here. I have a couple of people helping me manage the patients and the paperwork. We don’t have much in the way of decorations on the walls. It is just a normal medical office. I like the work because it is like solving a new puzzle every day.
