Radiologist - Dr. Archna J. Salvi

I work as a radiologist right next to Nanavati Hospital on Hospital Road. My name is Radiologist - Dr. Archna J. Salvi. Having the clinic right beside the hospital makes things very convenient for everyone. If a doctor there says someone needs an X-ray or an ultrasound, the patient can just walk right over to our door. I have the large scanning machines kept in the back rooms. They take up quite a lot of room. The lights are usually kept a bit low in the rooms where we do the scans so we can see the monitor screens better. It is a specific kind of medical work. I don’t write prescriptions or give out medicine to people. I just show the doctors what is happening under the skin. Kutch is where I have built my practice over the years. The road outside is always busy with people and cars going to the hospital. Inside our doors, we try to keep things moving in an orderly way. People come in with all sorts of things, like broken bones or sometimes they want to see their baby on the ultrasound screen. I spend a lot of my time sitting in a dark room looking at these black and white images. It is interesting what you can see when you look closely at a film. The office is kept simple. We have a small waiting area with some basic chairs. My staff helps get people into the right position for their pictures.
