National Council For Cement And Building Materials
About National Council For Cement And Building Materials – Metals & Minerals in Bhuj
You can find us at Valram Apartment in Bankers’ Colony, over in Bhuj. We are at number 13. Kutch is a unique place to work, and the colony is usually pretty calm most days. We spend our days dealing with cement standards and building materials. The office is inside an apartment building, so it feels more like a home than a workplace sometimes. We have our desks set up and files stacked in the corners. It’s a lot of reading, writing, and sometimes going out to visit local sites nearby. We aren't trying to impress anyone with a big fancy office. We just focus on getting the technical details right for the builders. The staff is mostly local people who understand the local building conditions here in Bhuj. We have our tea together in the mornings and plan out what needs to be finished before the day ends. Sometimes the wind picks up and the dust gets everywhere, but that’s just life in Bhuj. We don't have a PR department or anyone to write fancy speeches for us. We just go about our business and make sure the cement quality is what it should be. It’s a quiet life, but the work is steady. We like being in Bankers’ Colony because it’s easy for everyone to get to. We’ve been here for a while and don't plan on moving anytime soon. It’s a good place for our small team.
