Down in the Kutch-Bhuj district of Gujarat, you’ll find us in a town called Naliya. Our office is House No. 23 in the Shakti Society. It’s a quiet spot, which is a good thing because it helps us stay focused on the work at hand. The landscape around here is quite unique, with the salt flats and the open spaces. Our office reflects that simple, grounded way of life. It’s a modest building where we handle the administration for the cement business. We have a few computers and a lot of ledgers because we still like to keep track of things on paper sometimes. It’s a small team of us here, and we all wear many hats. One minute someone might be answering the phone, and the next they are helping load a truck or checking a shipment. There isn’t much in the way of hierarchy. We just see what needs to be done and we do it. The sun can be very strong in this part of Gujarat, so we tend to start our days early to beat the heat. We don't have any flashy slogans or a corporate headquarters vibe. It’s just a practical office in a practical town. We’ve been part of the community here for a while, and we’re just regular people doing our part to keep the business running smoothly.
