Down near Gurudwara Chowk in Lal Tekri, that’s where you’ll find Keshar Exports Tr. Co. Bhuj-Kutch is a unique place to work, especially with the history here. We handle export stuff. It involves a lot of documents and making sure things are packed right for long trips. The heat in Kutch can be something else during the summer, so we usually start our days pretty early before it gets too bad. Being near the Chowk means there is always something going on outside our doors. It’s a lively part of town. We aren't a corporate office with suits; we mostly wear what’s comfortable for moving around. The export business is mostly about timing. If a truck is late, everything else gets pushed back. We spend a lot of time waiting for news from the ports or checking on shipping schedules. It’s not always exciting. A lot of it is just making sure the numbers match and the labels are on straight. Our space is filled with boxes and tape. Sometimes the tea man comes by and we take a break, but usually, we are busy with some order. We’ve been in this spot for years. The Gurudwara is a good landmark for people trying to find us for the first time. We just keep our heads down and do the work that needs doing. It’s a living, and it keeps us busy from morning until the sun goes down over the hills in the distance.
