We have been based at the Old Railway Colony for quite a long time now. House No C2/1 is where we keep all our files and meet up every morning before heading out to the construction sites. Bhuj is a place where you really feel the weather, especially when you are out there working on a new building or fixing up an old house. It gets very dusty and hot, but that is just how it is in Kutch. We spend most of our days dealing with cement, bricks, and talking to the workers about what needs to be done next. It is not fancy work at all. Sometimes the tea arrives late or a truck gets stuck in the mud, and we just have to figure it out as we go. Most of the people here grew up nearby, so we know the local roads and the families living around us. When the workday finally ends, we usually sit around the office for a bit just to catch our breath before heading home. There is always some paperwork to finish, mostly just tracking materials and making sure the payroll is handled. It is a busy life, but it keeps us moving. We do not have a big fancy office with glass walls, just a regular house where we get things done. People often stop by to ask about their projects, and we show them what we are currently working on. It is simple. We are just local guys building things in our own town.
