Hotel Rasvatika

Hotel Rasvatika sits right on the Bhuj Anjar Highway in Madhapar. Being out here near Vardhman Nagar means we see a lot of people just passing through on their way somewhere else. It is a dusty stretch of road, and the wind blows pretty hard across the plains sometimes. We opened up because the highway is always busy and people need a spot to pull over. It’s a simple building, nothing that’s going to win any awards for architecture, but it serves its purpose for those on the road. We spend a lot of our time dealing with the heat and making sure there is enough water for everyone who stops by. Living and working in Bhuj means you get used to the dry air and the long roads. We don't go in for big advertisements or anything like that. People mostly find us because they see the sign while they are driving towards Anjar. The staff here are local guys from the village who know the area well. We talk about the weather and the truck traffic mostly. It’s not a quiet life, especially with the big rigs rumbling past at night, but we’ve gotten used to the noise over the years. We keep the rooms basic and try to make sure the fans work right. It’s just a practical place for practical people who are on the move. Nothing more, nothing less than what you see from the road.
