Essar Constructions(I)Ltd

Way down in Kerala, specifically in the Alappuzha district, things move a bit differently than in the big cities. Essar Constructions(I)Ltd is based in a place called Kuttiyil, in the Ayaparampu area of Cheruthana. It’s a green, wet part of the world, and that definitely affects how we work. The rain here can stop a project in its tracks for days, so we’ve learned to be patient. Our office is a simple building that blends into the neighborhood. We don’t have a big neon sign or a lobby with a receptionist. Usually, it's just a few of us sitting around a table covered in site maps and local permits. Most of our workers come from the surrounding villages, and we know their families and their stories. Moving heavy machinery through these narrow Kerala roads is always an adventure, but we manage somehow. We focus on the practical side of things, like making sure the foundation is solid before the monsoon hits. There’s a lot of pride in doing things the right way, even if we don’t talk about it in a flashy way. Sometimes we spend more time discussing the weather than the actual construction, but in Alappuzha, the weather is everything. It’s a quiet life compared to the industrial hubs, but there is always plenty of work to keep us occupied. We just take it one day at a time, making sure the job gets done.
