Bhagat Laboratory

Our lab is at 63/A on New Hospital Road in Kutch, just near the Dena Bank in Vijay Nagar. It’s a convenient spot because people can stop by after they finish their business at the bank or the nearby shops. The building is one of those standard concrete structures you see in this part of town. Inside, Bhagat Laboratory is set up with all the usual gear—glassware, centrifuges, and those old microscopes. It’s mostly white surfaces that we scrub down multiple times a day to keep things clean. We have a small area for people to sit while they wait for their turn, though it gets crowded fast. The New Hospital Road is usually busy, so there’s a lot of traffic noise coming in, but it’s a bit quieter once you get into the back rooms. We start early, usually before the sun gets too high, to handle the first batch of samples that come in. We’ve got a routine down for labeling and processing everything that comes through the door. The staff here has been around for a while, and we just go about our business without a lot of fuss or unnecessary talk. Sometimes we have a quick tea break when things slow down in the mid-morning hours. We keep our records in big binders and on the computer, trying to make sure nothing gets mixed up. When you look out the window, you see the bank and the people walking towards the hospital. It’s a small operation, but it keeps us very busy.
