Khavda Enterprise

Adipur is a place with its own character, and Khavda Enterprise fits right into the local scene at Shop No. 44 on 80 Line. Being near the primary school means we hear the kids playing and the bells ringing several times a day, which becomes a familiar background noise. Kutch can get very hot, so the shop is a bit of a shaded spot where we keep all our goods organized. We deal with various items, and the shop is usually full of boxes and bags that need to be sorted. The 80 Line area has a lot of small businesses, and everyone sort of knows each other. We spend our mornings sweeping the front and getting the display ready, though it isn't anything too elaborate. People from the neighborhood stop by, sometimes just to ask a question or buy something small on their way home. Bhuj has that dry air and the dust always finds its way inside, so cleaning the shelves is a never-ending task. We have been in this spot for a while, and the routine hasn't changed much. It is about checking the stock, talking to the suppliers, and making sure we have what people are looking for. By the time the school closes and the kids head home, we are usually starting to think about closing up ourselves. It’s a quiet, steady kind of life here.
