Sai Coir

Sai Coir is based out in Adhena Village. We are located near the bus stand, which is a pretty good landmark if you are coming into the village. Our mailing address goes through the Nimapara Post Office in Gop Tehsil, Puri District. It’s a quiet area compared to the big cities, but we stay busy enough with the coir work. Working here means being close to the land and the materials we use every day. We don't have a big glass office or a receptionist. Most of the time, our hands are actually busy with the products. The building is simple and serves its purpose. We’ve lived and worked in this district for a long time, so we know everyone around the neighborhood. Sometimes the weather makes things a bit difficult, especially during the rainy season, but we just adapt and keep going. We aren't much for writing big stories about ourselves. We just make coir items and try to keep the quality steady. The team is made up of local people who know the trade. We start early in the morning when it’s still cool out. If you walk past the bus stand, you’ll probably hear us working. It’s a practical life, and we are fine with that. No fancy words are needed to describe what we do here in Adhena. We just take it one day at a time and see what needs finishing.
