Pushpanjali Variety Store

Our store is in the Old Town area, specifically Lingaraj Nagar. We are right near the Electrical Office, so that’s the easiest way to find us if you’re lost. It’s a variety store, meaning we have a bit of everything crammed onto the shelves. It’s not the most organized place in the world, but we usually know where everything is if you ask us. We’ve got household items, snacks, and some stationery too. The building is older, with high ceilings and some cracks in the plaster, but it has character. We get a lot of people who work at the Electrical Office coming in for a quick break or to buy something for their home. Old Town has its own pace, a bit slower than the new parts of the city. We like it that way. We don't have a big staff, just a couple of us who take turns behind the counter. Sometimes we forget to restock the small things, but we catch up eventually. It’s a local shop for local people. We don't do any big promotions or sales. We just put the items out and wait for someone to need them. The bell on the door rings all day long. It’s a bit squeaky, but it lets us know someone is there. We spend our time chatting with customers and keeping the dust off the top shelves as best we can.
