Peter England Showroom

Peter England Showroom is inside Keshri Mall, which is part of the Western Market Building. Being in a mall is different from being on the street. It’s a bit more controlled, and we have the big glass windows in front. We spend a lot of time arranging the mannequins to make them look presentable. The clothes are the main thing here, so we have rows of trousers and shirts all organized by size. Sometimes people mess up the piles while looking for a specific color, and we have to fix them again. The Western Market area is quite popular, so we get a good number of people walking in, especially on the weekends. We have a small changing room in the back that stays busy. The lighting is bright because that's how malls are. We have a counter with a computer for the billing. Sometimes the system is slow and we have to ask people to wait for a minute. We don't really have a big team, just a few of us taking turns. The mall music plays all day long, which can get a bit tiring after a few hours. We talk to the security guards and the people working in the other shops during our breaks. It’s a regular retail job. We show up, help people find clothes, and then go home. It's simple enough and it keeps us occupied throughout the entire week.
