Sagun Smart

You can find Sagun Smart right near the Lingaraja Temple. Being so close to the temple means there is always a crowd of people passing by our door. It is a lively spot with pilgrims and locals moving through at all hours. We opened up this shop to provide things that people in the neighborhood need. It is not a massive supermarket, just a practical place where you can find what you are looking for without a fuss. We have shelves stocked with a bit of everything. The morning is usually our busiest time when everyone is out doing their daily shopping. We know most of the people who live on the nearby streets by name. It is nice to have that connection with the community. Sometimes it gets a bit noisy with the temple bells and the traffic, but we have gotten used to it over the years. We do not have a website or any fancy digital stuff. We just stand behind the counter and help whoever walks in. The floor gets swept a few times a day because of all the feet coming through. We try to keep the prices fair and the shelves full. It is a simple way to run a business. We like being part of the life around the temple. It feels like we are right in the heart of things here.
