District Small Scale Industries Association

This is the office for the District Small Scale Industries Association. We’re tucked away in Nehru Nagar, specifically at Jyoti Foundry in Bhubaneswar. It’s a busy part of Odisha, 765001. Basically, we are a group of people who look after the smaller workshops and businesses around the district. It’s not a high-rise building or anything like that. Just a practical space where we meet up and talk about what’s going on with the local industry. Small shops have a lot of hurdles these days, and we try to stay on top of the news for them. Sometimes we have meetings that run long, and other days it’s just one or two people dropping by to ask a question. The association has been around for a while. We know the struggles of running a foundry or a small manufacturing unit because we see it every day. The neighborhood of Nehru Nagar is full of people just trying to make a living, and we fit right in there. We don't have a PR team or anyone to write fancy stuff for us. It’s just us, the members, trying to keep things organized. If you come by, you’ll probably see stacks of papers and maybe a few of us drinking tea and discussing the latest rules. It’s just a regular place for regular working people in Bhubaneswar. We do what we can to keep the small guys connected and informed about what's happening around the district. It is simple work but important.
