Sgl Enterprise

Our business, Sgl Enterprise, is based in unit C-309 of the Sriram Vihar Apartments. We are located in the Nayapali Behera Sahi area. It is a bit different running a business from an apartment complex rather than a shop on the main road, but it works well for what we do. We have converted a couple of the rooms into our main working area. It gets a little bit crowded when we have a big shipment of supplies arrive, as there isn't a whole lot of extra storage space. The neighbors are mostly families, so we make sure not to make too much noise during the day. We have a small desk for the computer and some shelves for our files. Sometimes the lift in the building breaks down and we have to carry everything up to the third floor, which is a good workout if nothing else. We spend a lot of time on the computer handling orders and talking to our suppliers. It is a quiet way to work and we don't get many walk-in customers since we are tucked away in the residential block. We usually have the radio playing softly in the background while we work. It’s just a small, simple operation and we like the independence it gives us. We have been in this apartment for a couple of years now and it has become a very familiar place for us.
