Gitanjali Jewels

Gitanjali Jewels is on the 1st Floor of Pal Height, Shop No 103 B, in Jaydev Vihar. Being inside a mall means we follow the mall's schedule, so we are often here late into the evening. The shop isn't massive, but we have our display cases and a small back area where we keep the safe and do some minor work. We spend our days looking at jewelry, cleaning pieces, and talking to people who walk in. It’s a different kind of environment than a street-side shop because of the air conditioning and the constant mall music in the background. We’ve been at this spot in Jaydev Vihar for a while now. Most of the work involves just being present and knowing the details of the items we have. It’s not always busy; sometimes we just sit and wait for customers while we tidy up the displays. We don't use a lot of high-pressure sales tactics. We just show what we have and answer questions. The lights in the display cases have to be checked all the time so the jewelry looks right. Sometimes we have to send things out for repair or resizing, which takes some coordination. It’s a steady job that requires a lot of patience. We don't have a big corporate office somewhere else; we are just right here in shop 103 B. It’s a nice enough place to spend the day, and we’ve gotten to know the other shop owners and staff nearby.
