Out in the Talcher Industrial Area, you can find us at B-9 in South Bolanda. It’s a very industrial setting, surrounded by other plants and big machinery. Izar Chemicals is a straightforward place where we handle chemical supplies. The ground around here is often that dark color you get in mining towns, and there’s always a layer of dust on the windows no matter how often we clean them. Our setup is mostly storage tanks and a small office space that’s mostly used for keeping the ledgers and answering the phone. We don't get many visitors who aren't truck drivers or plant managers from the nearby companies. The work is mostly about being precise and making sure everything is labeled correctly before it goes out. It is quiet for long stretches, then suddenly three trucks will show up at once and everyone has to scramble to get things loaded up. We eat our lunch together in the small break area, usually talking about the local news or the weather. It’s not the most glamorous job, but it’s steady work for all of us. Talcher is a tough place in the heat, but we’ve got some good people here who know how to handle the conditions. We don’t try to be anything we aren't; we just provide the chemicals people need for their processes and try to keep the operation running without any real delays.
