Our place is over at Plot No. 135 in the Mancheshwar Industrial Estate, specifically in Zone B of Section A. It’s a loud area with lots of trucks and machines moving around all day. At Escorts Construction Equipment Ltd., we spend most of our time dealing with heavy parts and big machines. The office is right next to the workshop, so you can always hear the sound of tools and engines. It’s definitely not a quiet place to work. We have grease on our hands more often than not. We aren't the type to sit around in suits; we’re usually out in the yard checking on the inventory or helping a customer figure out what part they need. The dust from the industrial estate gets everywhere, so we’ve given up on keeping everything perfectly clean. We just focus on keeping the equipment moving. Sometimes a delivery is late or a machine is acting up, and we just have to stay late and figure it out. We’ve been in this spot for a long time and we know all the other business owners on the street. We help each other out when someone needs a tool or a bit of advice. It’s a rough and tumble kind of business, but it suits us just fine. We just get the job done without much fuss or talking.
