Dr. Panda Memorial Locomotor Rehabilitation Clinic

The Dr. Panda Memorial Locomotor Rehabilitation Clinic is located right at Damana Square in Damana. It’s a busy intersection, so there is always a lot of traffic and noise outside our windows. The clinic is named after Dr. Panda and we focus specifically on locomotor rehabilitation. This means we help people who have trouble moving their limbs or walking properly. We have a variety of equipment for physical therapy scattered around the main room. It’s not a very large place, but we make use of every corner. The floors are plain and the walls are painted a neutral color that’s seen better days. We don’t have a fancy reception desk with a computer. We mostly just keep track of things in our ledger books. People come here after they’ve had surgeries or if they are dealing with long-term disability issues. Rehab is a slow process, so we get to know our patients really well over the months they visit us. You might see someone practicing their walking with a therapist near the window. We don't spend money on glossy brochures or big advertisements. People in Damana just know we are here at the square. Sometimes the fans are on full blast to beat the heat, making it hard to hear, but we manage. It’s a place for hard work and getting better, one small step at a time. We just keep at it every day.
