Diamond Engineering

You can find Diamond Engineering on Cuttack Road, right near the Canara Bank. It’s a busy stretch of road and there is always something going on outside. We have a shop where we do various types of engineering and repair work. It is a bit cramped inside because we have a lot of tools and machines squeezed into Plot No 142. The floors are a bit stained with oil and there are metal shavings in the corners. We’ve been operating here for a long time, and the building shows its age a bit. We don't mind it, though. It feels like home to us. Usually, there are three or four of us working at any time. We don't wear uniforms, just old clothes that we don't mind getting dirty. Customers often walk in from the street because they saw our sign while going to the bank. We talk to them plainly about what needs to be done. There’s no fancy sales pitch here. We just tell them how much it will cost and how long it will take. Sometimes we’re a bit late if a machine breaks down, but we try our best. In the evenings, the traffic on Cuttack Road gets really loud, so we usually close up and head home once the sun sets. It’s a simple, honest way to spend the day. We like the neighborhood and the people we meet. We're just local folks doing a job we know well and doing it right.
