Vedanta Aluminium Ltd,Orissa

This is the office for Vedanta Aluminium Ltd,Orissa, located over at Eb-614 in the Badagada Brit Colony area of Bhubaneswar. It’s not a factory floor like some of the other sites; it’s more of the place where we keep the records straight. The colony itself is a busy place, and we’ve been part of the neighborhood for a while now. Bhubaneswar-18 is where we spend our days. The office isn't anything spectacular, just a functional space with desks, some old filing cabinets, and a few computers that have seen better days. We handle a lot of the papers and records that come from the plants. It gets busy, especially at the end of the month when all the reports are due. We usually grab lunch at the local stalls nearby. You can hear the traffic from the street, but you get used to it after a week or two. There’s a small team of us here. We don't have a big corporate lobby with a receptionist. You just walk in and talk to whoever is at the front desk. It’s informal but we get the job done. Sometimes people get confused by the address in Brit Colony, but we’re pretty easy to find once you’re in the Badagada area. We just keep our heads down and make sure the numbers add up. It’s an honest living and a decent place to work for all of us here.
