Vedanta Aluminium Limited

We are based out of the township in Lanjigarh, specifically at quarter C3/4. It's a quiet enough residential area tucked inside the company housing. Working for Vedanta Aluminium Limited means spending most of our time around the refinery site. Living and working in the same spot has its pros and cons. You often see your coworkers at the store or while walking to the office. The weather in Kalahandi can be pretty rough, swinging from extreme heat to heavy monsoon rains. We just get on with it. Our office is more of a practical workspace than a corporate one. We handle a lot of the local coordination and logistics. There's usually someone coming by to drop off a form or ask about the weekly schedule. We try to keep things organized, but it’s a very busy place. The township has everything we need, so we don't head into the main town too often. It’s a lot of metal and machinery talk most days of the week. Some of the guys have been here since the plant first started up years ago. We’ve seen the whole place grow quite a bit over time. It’s not a flashy job, just steady work. We stay busy with the day-to-day operations and the paperwork that never seems to end. We're just one small part of the bigger operation here in Orissa. The trees around the township provide some nice shade in the afternoons.
