Sree Metaliks Ltd.

Sree Metaliks Ltd has a small branch office out in the village of Khalari, specifically in the Biswal Sahi area. We work out of Naresh Chandra Tripathy’s premises. It is a much more rural and quiet setting compared to the offices we have in the bigger cities. Since we are in the Angul district, we are surrounded by a lot of big industrial projects, but our immediate neighborhood is very simple and traditional. Most people around here know each other by their first names. We do not have any big corporate signs or a fancy reception area with a secretary. Usually, if a visitor is looking for us, they just stop and ask anyone on the street in Biswal Sahi and they will be pointed toward the right house. We handle all the local matters and community relations for the company. This involves a lot of sitting down and talking to the neighbors to make sure everyone is okay with the current projects. Sometimes we have to walk all the way to the post office in Khalari just to send out a single set of documents. It is a much slower pace of life out here, but the work is still very important for the company operations. We deal with a lot of handwritten notes and talk directly with the local laborers. There are many days when the heavy rain turns the roads into mud and makes it hard for anyone to travel. We just wait for the sun to come out.
