Sakti Paints

If you walk down No. 96 in Shailashree Vihar, you’ll find us right there in the Chandasekharpur area. We have been here at Sakti Paints for quite a few years now. The shop is usually a bit dusty because of all the cans moving around, but that’s just how it goes when you’re dealing with paint all day. It’s a local spot where people come when they need to brighten up their houses or just fix a patch on the wall. We carry a lot of different colors, though sometimes we have to wait a day or two for a specific shade to arrive. It’s just me and a couple of others helping out most of the time. We know most of the people around the neighborhood by name. Sometimes customers come in just to ask what color would look okay in a dark room. We give our honest opinion, even if it’s not what they want to hear. The shelves are pretty packed, and sometimes it takes a minute to find the exact brush someone is looking for. We don't have a fancy showroom. It's more of a practical place where you get what you need and get on with your day. We try to stay open late enough for people coming home from work. It’s hard work, lifting heavy buckets and mixing colors, but it feels good to see a project finished. We just like being part of the community here.
