Our place is located at Plot 893/22 in the New Colony area of Palasuni, which is in Bhubaneswar. It’s a bit away from the main city hub. The building is a standard plot where we’ve set up our operations for transmission work. It’s not a shiny new office building. It’s more of a functional space where we keep our tools and paperwork. The weather in Orissa can get really humid, so we have a couple of old air conditioners that hum along while we work. We don’t have a big team, just a few of us who know the business. We spend a lot of time checking on things and making sure the parts are moving correctly. It’s a hands-on kind of environment. You won't find any fancy rugs or designer furniture here. Just metal desks and some filing cabinets that have seen better days. We get our work done without making a fuss about it. People in the colony know us as the guys who are always busy with the transmission stuff. We usually have a bit of mud on our boots if we’ve been out on a site. It’s honest work and we do it from this simple spot in Palasuni. No big mission statements, just daily labor. Sometimes the power cuts out and we just sit outside and wait for it to come back. We keep a stash of cold water in the fridge for visitors.
