Orissa Rural & Urban Producers Association is on the 1st floor of Krishna Tower, specifically No. 2- A. We are right opposite the Iskcon Temple in Nayapalli. If you know the area, you know how crowded it gets, especially during festivals or on weekends when everyone goes to the temple. The tower itself is a bit older, and the stairs are tucked away. We spend most of our time trying to connect people from the villages with people in the city. It’s a lot of phone calls and sitting around with piles of papers. Sometimes producers from rural areas come all the way here to talk about their goods. It can be a bit noisy with the traffic from the main road, but we’ve gotten used to it. We don’t have a fancy showroom. It’s more of a functional space where we handle the business side of things. Nayapalli is a central spot, so it makes sense for us to be here, even if the parking is always a struggle. The office isn't very big, but we make it work. We have some samples of what the producers make sitting on the shelves. It’s not for show, really, just so we remember why we are here doing this. We’ve been in Krishna Tower for a bit now, and most of the other shopkeepers around know us. It’s just a regular office doing honest work for the local folks.
