Nabadiganta Educational Trust

We are over in Nayapally at Plot No: N-6/515 in the IRC Village area. Nabadiganta Educational Trust is basically just a few of us working out of this office in Bhubaneswar. It’s a quiet enough spot, mostly residential, which helps when we have to focus on all the paperwork. There are books and files everywhere you look. We spend a lot of time talking to teachers and families about what they need. It isn't a big flashy institution. We have some plastic chairs for visitors and a couple of old wooden desks that have seen better days. Outside, the street is usually lined with trees, which makes the Orissa heat a little more bearable. We handle the administrative side of things for the trust from here. Sometimes we are organizing workshops and other times we are just making sure the bills are paid. It’s a lot of coordination. People stop by to ask about school admissions or just to have a chat about the local neighborhood. We try to be helpful whenever someone knocks on the door. It’s a bit messy sometimes, especially when we have a big event coming up. But the work is important to us and we’ve been here in IRC Village for quite a while now. It feels like a part of the community. We just keep our heads down and do the work that needs doing without much fuss or fanfare.
