L&T

This branch of L&T is located out in Budhapank, which is near Angul in Orissa. Sumanta Samal looks after things here. It’s a bit of a quiet area compared to the big cities, but there is always something happening at the site. We’ve got a small office at the post office address. It isn't a place with a big sign or bright lights. Mostly, it’s just a room with some desks, a few chairs, and a lot of files. We deal with the day-to-day stuff that comes up with the local projects. Some days are slow and we just sit around drinking tea and catching up on logs. Other days, it’s a total mess with people coming and going and trucks moving through. We don't really do the corporate thing here. We just wear our regular clothes and get to work. The weather can get pretty hot in Angul, so we have a couple of fans running all day. Sometimes they make a lot of noise. If you need to find us, Budhapank is small enough that you won't get lost. Just ask for the L&T office near where Sumanta stays. We aren't here to impress anyone with a fancy write-up. We just wanted to let people know where we are and what we do. It’s simple work, but it’s important for the area around here. We like it this way. Sometimes the power goes out, but we just wait it out and start back up.
