This branch is over in Padma Nager, here in the Berhampur area of Ganjam. It is a bit different from our other locations, but the work we do is mostly the same. We spend our time managing the stock and getting things ready for the local shops that rely on us. Orissa can be very humid, so we usually keep the big doors open to catch whatever breeze happens to come by. There is always someone coming in to check on an order or just to say hello and have a quick chat. The warehouse area is always a bit cluttered with packaging material and stacks of goods, but we know exactly where everything is kept. It is not a perfect system, but it works well enough for us. We have a small staff, and everyone pitches in with everything, whether it is unloading a truck or writing out a hand-written bill for a customer. We do not really have fancy titles or big private offices. It is just about getting the work done so we can go home to our families at the end of the day. Some days we have more work than we can handle, and other days we are just waiting for the next shipment to arrive from the distributors. We like being in Padma Nager because it is a good community. You see the same faces every day, which makes the work feel more personal.
