Journal Of Community Medicine

We operate out of the Hi-Tech Medical College & Hospital. The Journal of Community Medicine is what keeps us busy in this corner of the building. It’s mostly about coordinating with researchers and doctors who want to get their papers published. We deal with a lot of emails every day, sending things out for review and checking if the formatting is right. It’s not a glamorous job, but someone has to manage the flow of medical information. Community medicine is a broad field, so we see all kinds of studies on public health and local clinics. The office is usually piled with papers and back issues of the journal. We try to stay organized, but with so many submissions coming in from across the country, it gets a bit cluttered. It’s just a small group of us handling the editorial side of things. We aren't a big publishing house with fancy tech, just people working within the medical college framework. People from different departments drop by sometimes to ask about their articles. We just tell them we are working through the pile as fast as we can. It takes time to get things reviewed properly, and we don't like to rush the process. We just focus on the task at hand and try to get the next issue out on schedule. It's a steady rhythm of reading, editing, and checking references. Sometimes the printer breaks down or the internet is slow, but we manage to get it done. It is basic academic work, but it matters to the people writing the papers.
