Interior Design Arena

Our office is in a house called Arjun Niwas, right on Lewis Road in the Jaydev Nagar area. It’s a bit of an old building, but it has a lot of character. We use the rooms to store all our samples—fabrics, wood pieces, tile chips, and stacks of drawings. It’s not a polished studio with white walls. It’s more of a workshop where we try to figure out how to make things fit together. We spend a lot of time out at sites in Nageswar Tangi, measuring walls and talking to contractors. My shoes are usually covered in construction dust by the time I get back to the office. We don't have a big corporate structure. It’s just a few of us who like drawing and figuring out spaces. Sometimes we argue about where a light should go or what color works best, but we usually figure it out over a cup of tea. Working from Jaydev Nagar is nice because we’re close to everything we need. The Lewis Road traffic can be a pain when we’re trying to haul samples around, but you get used to it. We don't have any fancy awards on the walls, just a lot of sticky notes and half-finished sketches. We just like taking a plain room and turning it into something people can actually live in. It’s rewarding in its own way.
