We’ve been sitting here in Flat E101 at Joytsna Enclave for a while now. It’s right near the Mayfair Hotel in Jaydevvihar, so finding us isn’t too hard if you know the area. The building is one of those places that gets a lot of afternoon sun, which makes the office pretty warm by 3 PM. We usually have the fans going full blast and someone always has a bottle of water on their desk. Bhubaneswar gets humid, especially during the monsoon months when the rain just dumps down on the street outside. Our space here isn’t anything fancy. It’s just a regular flat where we keep our files and handle the daily paperwork for Gulf Oil Corporation Limited. You can hear the traffic from the main road sometimes, especially when the signals change near the hotel. We’ve got a few desks pushed against the walls and a small area for tea. It feels more like a home than a big corporate center, which I think is fine. Most of us have been around here long enough to know the local shops for a quick lunch. There’s a guy who sells tea nearby and that’s basically where the afternoon break happens. We just do our work, keep track of the logistics, and head home when the sun goes down. It’s a practical spot for what we do. Nothing more, nothing less. We just keep things moving along every day.
