We have been based in Bhubaneswar for some time now, specifically over in the Chandrasekharpur area. Our office is at 3/12, Hig, Bda, which is a fairly easy place to find once you get into the neighborhood. Being in the power sector means there is always something going on with cables, paperwork, or coordinating with people on the ground across Orissa. The Khurda district is where everything happens for us. It isn’t a flashy corporate setup by any means. We mostly deal with the day-to-day operations that keep things running. Some days the office is quiet with just a few of us typing away, and other days it is quite hectic with folks coming in and out of the doors. The weather here in Bhubaneswar can get really hot during the summer, so the afternoon tea breaks are pretty much mandatory for everyone to stay sane. We don’t spend much time on fancy marketing because the work itself takes up most of the day. It’s just a group of people trying to get the job done and making sure the power requirements we handle are sorted out properly for the clients. Most of us have lived in this part of the city for many years, so we know the local tea stalls and the best shortcuts to avoid the traffic near the BDA colony. It feels like a regular local workplace where everyone knows each other’s names and how they take their coffee. There’s no big mystery to what we do here every day.
