We are based out of the Jilling area in Keonjhar, specifically in the B-Block quarters. It’s a bit of a trek to get out here, but this is where the main work happens for Essel Mining and Industries. Being an Aditya Birla Group company, there is a certain way things are expected to be done, but at the end of the day, we are just a team working out of Room No-4. Living and working in the same block makes for a long day sometimes. Keonjhar is known for its mining, and we are right in the middle of it all. Most days are filled with looking over reports or heading out to the site nearby. It’s not a flashy office or anything like that. Just a practical space where we can keep track of what’s going on with the industrial side of things. The people here have been around for years, so everyone knows the local area pretty well. We don't spend much time on big speeches; we just focus on the mining tasks and making sure the supplies are where they need to be. It gets pretty dusty out here, especially in the dry months, but that is just part of the job in this region. You get used to the sound of the equipment and the constant movement of people. It’s a quiet life in Jilling, but the work itself keeps everyone on their toes most of the time. We just keep the gears turning in this part of Keonjhar.
