Creative Studio

You can find us at Dibyajyoti Bhaban, which is located in the Godopokari Sahi area of Old Town, Bhubaneswar. Bibekananda Swain started this studio, and we’ve been operating out of this same building for quite some time now. Old Town has a lot of history and temples, and we like being part of that atmosphere every day. The studio isn't very large, but we have enough space for our equipment and a few chairs for when people stop by to chat. It’s a bit of a lived-in space, with wires running across the floor and shelves stuffed with old projects and half-empty boxes. We don't really follow a strict 9-to-5 schedule here; we just stay until the work is finished. Sometimes that means we are here late into the night with the fans humming. We don't have a lot of help, so we handle everything from cleaning the floors to the actual creative work ourselves. It’s a bit messy sometimes, and the walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint to brighten things up, but it works for us. We aren't looking to be the biggest studio in Orissa, just a place where we can do our work without too many distractions. People in the neighborhood know us, and we like that small-town feeling even though we are in a busy city. It's just us doing our thing.
