Lakshmi Paper Plate

We started Lakshmi Paper Plate because there was a need for it here in Bhuban. If you go down toward the Bhuban Shanshan area, you will find our small place. It isn't a big factory or anything like that. We just have the machines and we spend our days making plates from paper for whoever needs them. Sometimes it gets quite busy when there are local festivals or weddings happening in the village. Most of the time, it is just the steady sound of the press running. The address is a bit tucked away in Dhenkanal, but people usually find us if they ask around. We don't have a fancy office. There is just a desk and a lot of stacked bundles of plates waiting to be picked up. My family helps out when things get backed up. We try to keep the place tidy but with all that paper and cutting going on, it is hard to keep the dust down. Usually, I am the one you will see sitting there checking the sizes. We have been at this for a while now and we know most of the people who come through the door. It is just regular work for us. The road outside can get a bit muddy when it rains, so we have to watch the inventory so it does not get damp. It is a simple life running a business like this in a place like Bhuban.
