Vimal Store

We’re situated at Marg Chowk, just a short walk from the Jain Mandir. Vimal Store is a general store where we keep a bit of everything that a household might need. From pulses and grains to soaps and snacks, the shelves are pretty packed. It’s a bit of a tight squeeze when more than two people are in here at once. We’ve been serving the local families around this chowk for quite some time now. I usually sit behind the counter while my nephew helps move the heavier bags. We don't have any fancy displays or cooling systems, just the basic stuff arranged so people can find it. Sometimes we run out of something and have to wait for the delivery truck, but the neighbors are patient with us. It’s a noisy corner with all the rickshaws and bikes passing by, but we like the energy. We don’t really think of it as a big business, it’s just our way of making a living and helping the folks nearby get their daily groceries. Every morning we open the shutters early and get the milk crates sorted. It's a routine that hasn't changed much in years. We know most of our customers by name and that makes the days go by a lot faster. This shop has been our life for many seasons.
