Vikram Tent & Catering Centre

Vikram Tent & Catering Centre is located at S No 31 in the Indra Kachhi Market. This is in Sector D, over in the Piplani area. The market can be a bit of a scramble, especially on weekends when everyone is out shopping. Having our shop at number 31 means we are right in the thick of things. We do two things here: we handle the tents and we do the catering. It’s a lot of equipment to keep track of. The tent poles, the fabric, the chairs, and all the cooking gear take up a lot of space. We spend a lot of time loading and unloading trucks. Setting up a tent in the middle of a field is hard work, and it’s even harder when the sun is beating down on you. Then there is the food to think about. We do the cooking ourselves, mostly for local weddings and community events. Piplani is a place we know well, and being in Sector D helps us stay connected to the people living around BHEL. We don't have a polished office; it’s more of a working warehouse and shop. Things can get a little messy with all the gear moving in and out, but we know where everything is. It’s a tough way to make a living, but we’ve been doing it this way for a long time. We just take one job at a time and move on.
