Umrav & Co.

Our place, Umrav & Co., is located on Kolar Road in Bhimakunj. Most people know the area because of the Pizza Hut and the Sarvdharam landmark nearby. We are right in that mix. Kolar Road is always moving, with lots of cars and people going about their day-to-day business. We’ve been set up here for a while now. The shop isn't anything special to look at from the outside, but we keep a good range of items inside for our customers. We deal with a lot of general supplies and materials. It’s the kind of place where you might find what you need without having to drive all the way into the main city center. I spend a lot of my time behind the counter or checking the inventory in the back room. It’s a bit cramped, especially when a new shipment arrives and we haven't cleared the old stuff out yet. My son helps out on the weekends when he isn't busy with his own things. We see a lot of the same people every week, which is nice. You get to know who is working on a new house or who is just fixing a leaky pipe. It makes the day go by faster when you can talk to someone you know. We don't have a big corporate strategy or a board of directors. We just open up in the morning, sell what we have, and try to be helpful.
