Tomar Tractors

Our business is split between Shop No. 47 and 62 on the first floor of Chaitanya Market. We are located right near the main bus stand, which means the area is constantly buzzing with commuters and travelers. It can be a bit of a struggle to get through the crowd sometimes, especially when we are trying to move tractor parts up to the first floor. We don't have an elevator, so it’s all manual labor. Our shops are full of heavy metal components, tires, and various engine parts for tractors. It’s a very hands-on kind of place. The walls are a bit stained, and the floors are scuffed from all the iron parts we move around. We see a lot of people from the nearby villages who come into the city by bus to find what they need for their farms. It’s a very down-to-earth atmosphere. We don't use any fancy sales talk. We just show people what we have and let them decide. Usually, we have a small radio playing in the background to pass the time between customers. The market can get very hot in the summer, and the air gets a bit stuffy being on the first floor. We just keep the doors open and try to stay busy. It’s a basic way of life, working in the market and helping people keep their tractors running so they can get back to their fields.
