The Architecture Studio

The Architecture Studio is based here in Bhopal. We spend most of our days hunched over desks covered in rolls of paper and various pens that seem to get lost under everything else. The office isn't anything special to look at, just a place where we get the work done. There is usually a lot of talk about measurements and how things are going to fit together on a site. Bhopal is a big place, and we see a lot of different kinds of projects coming through our doors. Sometimes we spend hours just staring at a drawing trying to figure out a small detail that isn't sitting right. It is quiet for the most part, except for the scratching of pencils or the clicking of mice when we are on the computers. We drink a lot of tea to keep going through the afternoons when the sun hits the windows. The shelves are full of old samples and binders from years ago that we probably should clear out one day. We don't have a big reception area or anything, just our workspace where the real planning happens. It is about getting the lines straight and the numbers to add up correctly before anything gets built. We just stay focused on the drawings and make sure the plans make sense for whoever is using them.
