New Bharat Engineering Works

New Bharat Engineering Works is tucked away at Plot No. 27- A in Sector- New H Industrial Area. It’s a pretty standard industrial shed, to be honest. We have high ceilings and those big metal doors that stay open all day. The sun hits the metal roof in the afternoon and makes it quite warm inside, but we have some big industrial fans that help move the air around. There is always the sound of something being hammered or cut. We have a lot of scrap metal piled up in the back that we need to sort through one of these days. Most of the guys here have been working together for years, so we don't really need to talk much to know what needs to be done. We just show up, put on our boots, and get to work. The tea break is the highlight of the day when we sit on the wooden crates and talk about the news. The road outside is unpaved in some spots, so it gets muddy when it rains. We have to be careful about tracking that mud onto the shop floor. It’s a messy job, and our hands are usually stained with oil by the time we leave. We don’t have a fancy reception desk or anything like that. If you come by, you’ll probably find us near the lathes or moving heavy parts.
