Scapes Associates

Scapes Associates is found at No 17, Scapes House, which is located in Subhash Nagar. We are right on Kamptee Road, specifically opposite the railway crossing. That crossing is a big part of our daily life because everything stops when the trains go by. You can hear the whistle and the rumbling of the tracks from inside the office, and we often find ourselves looking out the window while we wait for the gates to open again. The road outside is a main artery, so there is always a lot of dust and the sound of heavy trucks passing through. Scapes House is a modest building where we do our associate work, mostly sitting at our desks with drawings or documents spread out everywhere. It is a bit of a functional space, nothing too elaborate or designed to impress. We have a few rooms and a small area for people to sit when they come to see us. The staff here has a rhythm that matches the traffic outside. Sometimes it is very quiet and then suddenly everything happens at once. We’ve been in Subhash Nagar for a while and we know the local shops and the people who walk past our gate every morning. It is a working office in a busy part of town, and we just focus on getting through the pile of work on our desks before the day finally ends.
